So much for Islam being a ‘religion of peace’ then. As I expected, the death toll caused by Islamic religiously inspired violence has passed the 100 deaths mark. According to the Religion of Peace website the number of deaths that have been caused by religious violence this Ramadan now stands at 108. There appears to be no similar violence at this time from either members of other religions or from the ‘far right’ or ‘anti-Muslim extremists’ of the sort that our Governments keep telling us are just as much a problem as Islamic terrorists.

No other major religion has a similar death toll from religiously inspired violence during their religious festivals as what we find during Islamic Ramadan. A combination of individuals deranged by continual fasting and feasting, along with a history and tradition of Ramadan being an auspicious time to kill for Allah, makes Ramadan a deadly time. This tradition of carrying out acts of violence at Ramadan will continue until either Muslims reform their ideology or walk away from Islam in disgust.
