It is well known that former Labour Party MP played a big hand in helping to give the rantings of a fantasist and liar, Carl Beech, a credibility that these rantings did not deserve. The result of Tom Watson’s actions whilst in Parliament allegedly drove a former Home Secretary to an early grave and smeared the reputations of many others.
What may be less well known are the allegations that today’s Guest Post author, who goes by the name of Hobbehod, makes about the appalling Labour MP for Bradford West, Naz Shah. It is claimed that those close to Watson helped Shah to keep her seat at a time when it was possible that she could have been barred from taking it up. If the allegations that have been made about Shah and Watson’s associates are correct, then it shows that the Labour Party is even more rotten than many of us would have previously thought it was.
Naz Shah – Tom’s Toxic Legacy? – By Hobbehod
A couple of years after he appointed himself VIP Nonce Finder General, under Parliamentary privilege Tom Watson MP repeated the mendacious assertion of the fraudulent charlatan Carl Beech that the former Conservative Home Secretary, Leon Brittan, was “as close to evil as a human being could get”. Now we know that actually applies to one of the worst men ever to plonk his backside on Westminster’s green benches.
Watson and associates(BBC reporter Tom Symonds and the now defunct scurrilous Exaro website) had “formed a little group that supported” Carl Beech who fed lies to them (see the Henriques Report into the Operation Midland fiasco). These lies were assiduously lapped up.
Watson’s influence and pressure on the police resulted in a veritable witch hunt of wholly innocent public figures. Heavy handed goon squad investigations followed which saw Lord Brittain hounded to an early grave and Lord Bramall, a D-Day hero who had fought from Normandy to the Baltic with the Kings Royal Rifle Corps subjected to a terrible ordeal, of which he observed that nothing in his life had “badly wounded” him like these wicked, baseless allegations. Well done Tom.
Nor did Watson neglect lurid allegations of VIP abuse near his Black Country fiefdom on Cannock Chase, demanding a “comprehensive investigations” into fantasy allegations made by a “survivor”, Esther Baker, against John Hemming, ex-MP
Of which John Hemming latterly had this to say
“The fact is that Jess Phillips and Tom Watson assisted Baker for political advantage”

The Nonce Finder General did however allegedly have an enormous blind spot for some abuse allegations. From October 2014 the local press in the West Midlands began a series of articles on “Asian” gang grooming in the area, revealing that for several years official bodies in the region had known that Child Sexual Exploitation on the Rochdale/Rotherham pattern had established firm roots
https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/west-midlands-police-report-reveals-7948902
Watson has never, to my knowledge, uttered a word about the Muslim/Pakistani gangs operating in Birmingham and the Black Country which bear “significant similarities “ to the Rotherham rape gangs
How is this extraordinary selectivity on Watson’s part to be accounted for? Safe to say the Nonce Finder General routine was not merely a vehicle for self publicity and bashing political opponents it served as a calculated diversion from the rape gang epidemic in which Labour policy from the get go had been one of omerta and denial.
This was not just a matter of the political correctness with which the party had become riddled, but also of vote bank politics in which a junkie like dependency had developed – as Professor Jay noted of Rotherham a blind eye had been turned to industrial scale CSE in order to “accommodate a community expected to vote Labour”. And of course Watson was an assiduous player of vote bank politics
The consequences of this Faustian Pact, covered as it was by Nonce Finder General smoke and mirrors trickery, has been absolutely tragic. Particularly so in the West Midlands where “Asian” rape gangs have continued to have pretty free rein. In Birmingham there has only been one successful gang prosecution and in the Black Country not one, yet the logic of the demographics is that these must be major grooming hunting grounds.
But as regards covering up grooming gangs Tom may apparently have conjured up another ghastly apparition. Naz Shah MP – she of the “abused girls in Rotherham and elsewhere just need to shut their mouths for the good of diversity” like and retweet of a post from a spoof Owen Jones Twitter account. She was recently appointed Shadow Community Cohesion Secretary by Keir Starmer the recently elected Labour Party leader. This appointment what can only be considered a gigantic FU to victims, survivors and the better part of the nation as a whole.
Shah was imposed on the Bradford West Constituency in March 2015 by Labour’s NEC. At this time she was, according to a blog post on the subject, allegedly in desperate financial straits, having been ordered by the Country Court to pay a sum in excess of £25,000 to settle business debts and legal costs. She is said to have had no means to pay this money having written to the court stating that “my position in terms of business and financially is fragile” and the claims against her were “unwarranted and unfair”. This cut no ice with the judge and the bankruptcy had it gone ahead would have rendered her ineligible to stand as an election candidate – or to take her seat in Parliament. It might be mentioned in passing that Shah it is claimed had previous form in the bankruptcy stakes – a bankruptcy notice and restrictions were placed against her home in 2008.
Happily assistance was at hand for the Black Country blog Squawkbox reports that
“Tom Watson’s driver-cum-fixer has been recorded boasting of raising almost £26,000 to prevent Bradford West MP Naz Shah being taken to bankruptcy court on the day she was first elected in 2015.
Bill Gavan, a Sandwell councillor and close ally of former Labour deputy leader Tom Watson, was recorded by a local whistleblower and can be heard explaining the move to rescue ‘that woman elected up in… Bradford’ – as well as boasting of arranging for payment of a hotel bill for a married political figure whose wallet had been stolen while meeting a woman in London when he was supposed to be abroad.
Gavan boasts that ‘we’ did it, but does not specify in the recording which people ‘we’ represents.
Gavan can also be heard swearing as he recalls that the MP then ‘got herself f***ing suspended‘ – and her appointment as a candidate by Labour’s NEC (National Executive Committee) – before saying to his listener that Shah faced bankruptcy court on the morning after the 2015 general election. Bankruptcy can in some circumstances render a candidate ineligible for election or an MP ineligible to remain in Parliament.
Gavan then explains that ‘we’ raised £25,600 to pay the outstanding debt – and that this was a ‘loan’ eventually repaid”
And so our newly minted Shadow Community Cohesion Minister took her place in the Mother of Parliaments in which and outwith its precincts she cuts such an admirable figure
“However for me, possibly the worst and most egregious appointment that Sir Keir has made has been give the job of Shadow Community Cohesion minister to the appalling Naz Shah the MP for Bradford West. Ms Shah has a long history of making outrageous statements and showing extremely poor judgement and her appointment will do nothing to allay suspicions that Labour has given her this job for the sole purpose of sucking up to Britain’s Muslim communities.”
Thanks a bunch Tom and pals!
