You don’t have to be mad to choose Islam, but it must surely help if you are. There’s been another wholly unsurprising incident in Australia of a man who converted to Islam going ‘full Islam’ and threatening to kill non-Muslims.
According to a report on Jihad Watch a mentally unbalanced man who chose Islam (as they too often do) was given a woefully inadequate judicial slap on the wrist by a magistrate in Australia after he threatened to behead Christians and burn down their churches and houses. James Michael Waugh, a former Canberra journalist, threatened to behead Christians on his front lawn as retaliation for the Christchurch massacre.
Jihad Watch quoted a story from Australian state broadcaster ABC which reads:
A man who threatened to behead Christians on his front lawn in retaliation for the Christchurch massacre has walked free from court with a suspended sentence.
James Waugh, 29, has already spent five months in jail, and was sentenced today to two-and-a-half years in jail on a single charge of threatening to act with intent to cause public alarm.
But the sentence was wholly suspended, meaning Waugh will not spend any more time behind bars.
Waugh was arrested after sending violent messages to members of a Canberra church over several months.
One of those targeted was a woman who had rejected him.
In January last year, he sent her a message demanding her address, saying, “You are going to die.”
“Good you are a f***ing c***.
“I am going to burn your house down.”
He later told another person, “I am going to cut her organs out … she should be gutted like a f***ing dog.”
In other messages, Waugh threatened one man’s children and linked his threats to the Christchurch attack on two mosques.
“Do not approach me in the street if you see me because I will attack you,” he wrote.
“The only good Trinitarian is a dead one.
It’s obvious from reading the story that Waugh is a mentally unbalanced nutjob who is unsafe to be allowed to walk the streets. Normal people don’t threaten to burn down people’s houses or to gut or behead people, but mad people and those who choose the path of a death cult do.
What gets me about this case is the double standard shown by the court in this case. If this was a non-Muslim who had threatened the lives of innocent Muslims then you can bet your bottom dollar that they would be facing an immediate custodial sentence. In Australia Waugh’s offence could well be classed as a threat to kill and faced a potential custodial sentence of ten years. I have little doubt that if this had been a non-Muslim threatening Muslims then Waugh would have been looking at a lengthy period behind bars. But, because Waugh is a Muslim although a newly minted one, he walks free from the court with no terror charge and who was merely sentenced under ‘hate crime’ law. The Magistrate who sentenced Waugh who said in her sentencing remarks that both the Koran and the Bible are equally peaceful is laughable as well. She has either never read the Koran and is relying on Leftists and Islamic apologists for her description of it, or is a downright liar. The Koran is not a book of peace, it is a book of war, a book of destruction and one that should be treated with the same level of disgust as civilised people hold books like Mein Kampf and The Communist Manifesto.
Any sensible and aware person knows that Islam is a violent death cult despite some Muslims being decent peaceful individuals and because these threats had come from a Muslim they would have been seen as credible threats to kill by those who received them. This is a monstrously lenient sentence and a prime example of the legal double standard that applies when it is a Muslim in the dock.
