Greater London Mayor Sadiq Khan is a massive and incontrovertible failure as a leader. His term in office has been characterised by horrendous levels of street crime, much of if afflicting the Black Britons that he feigns to pander towards. He has wasted money that could have gone on regular effective policing, including policing that could have saved the lives of the Black Londoners who have lost their lives in droves from gang violence, into a personal vanity project, the Metropolitan Police’s ‘hate crime hub’.

His response to the terror attacks that have occurred on his watch is mealy mouthed and couched in empty platitudes. He has used his position as Mayor not to sell London as a great place to do business but to engage in personal political spats with US President Donald Trump. The Metropolitan Police which is now under the control of Khan rather than the Home Office which it used to be, let Extinction Rebellion extremists shut down London for days, a shutdown that was only ended when ordinary Londoners showed that they had had enough of Extinction Rebellion by pulling activists from the roof of a train at Canning Town station. It was also Khan who ordered the boarding up of the statue of Sir Winston Churchill following the riots by the BLM/Marxist mob, riots that were tacitly encouraged by Khan because of the Met’s initial ‘softly softly’ policing of the early BLM / Marxist demonstrations. Khan also failed to put in place protective measures aimed at shielding Transport for London workers from Coronavirus something that has resulted in many deaths of London Transport workers.

It’s more than obvious that Khan has failed to lead London properly, but don’t worry, Khan has an excuse for his utter and complete failure and it is an excuse that is horrifyingly cynical.

Khan’s excuse for his failure as a leader of London, according to the Daily Mail which is in turn quoting from an interview that Khan gave to The Times, is that ‘the lockdown made him mentally ill’. What an absolute crock of shit excuse from a crock of shit politician.

Khan is in no way facing the sort of pressures that the lockdown has brought to ordinary Londoners. He gets a £100k plus salary, he’s supported by his wife and kids, he lives in a nice house near Clapham Common (an area where the housing is well out of reach pricewise from many Londoners) and has an army of attentive and taxpayer funded flunkies to pander to his every whim.

‘Mental health’ my arse. Even if Khan is even partially telling the truth that the lockdown has made him somewhat depressed, that does not explain away his myriad of other failures on crime, housing, transport and so much more, the vast majority of those failures came before Covid19 was even a thing.

Any problems that Khan has experienced is but nothing when compared to what this bastard has put Londoner’s through. Under Khan, money has been wasted hand over fist on vanity projects such as the aforementioned ‘hate crime hub’ and his ‘green ‘ policies have crippled many of London’s small businesses who now find it impossible to afford the sort of vehicles required to make deliveries in the Capital. Crime is now so bad that parents don’t know if their teenagers will live to complete their journey home from school, transport is expensive and housing is so expensive and hard to come by that those who live on much less than Khan end up being exploited by unscrupulous landlords. London is a mess and it’s a mess in large part down to Khan’s mismanagement, diversions into political grandstanding and Khan’s consistent waste of public money.

For me Khan’s mental health excuse really does not wash. In fact I feel that it is an insult to the thousands and thousands of Britons who suffer, often through no fault of their own, from mental illness and who get no or piss poor help for it from the NHS.

I thought I’d seen Khan reach the bottom of the barrel when it came to making excuses for his failure by blaming Brexit, the Conservative government, racism, Trump and everything else he has used, but this cynical exploitation of the ‘mental health’ label really does take the biscuit. This turbulent tosspot needs to go and the only people who can get rid of him, barring the Government doing to the GLA what the Thatcher government did to the GLC and abolishing it, are the electors of London.

At the last Mayoral election in 2016, too few voters bothered to get off of their arses to vote for an alternative to Khan and he was elected by a combination of voter apathy, whipped communal mosque votes along with the votes of the Islingtonian middle class Left. Londoners could have been rid of this damaging, cynical and responsibility avoiding tosser in April of this year but unfortunately Covid19 has seen the Mayoral election put off until next year. Next year should not see a repeat of the mistakes of 2016. Londoners who believe that Khan has failed them or who want something better than Khan has given them need to vote for someone better than Khan. Londoners need to vote for either Shaun Bailey the Conservative candidate or David Kurten the independent. Sadiq Khan has done too much damage to London and has avoided taking responsibility for the damage that he’s done by making these ‘mental health’ excuses, for him to be allowed to continue in office. For the sake of all Londoners, Khan must go.
