Over the last few months I’ve been watching more and more videos by an organisational psychologist by the name of Dr Karlyn Borysenko. I’ve come to really admire and emphasise with, Dr Borysenko’s story of her journey from the Left to the Centre of US politics and her very personal and thoughtful take on US politics and the now worldwide culture war between the Left and everyone else.
Dr Borysenko became a Leftist at 18 because in part she believes in equality and at that time she saw the religious right as a hindrance to things such as the ability of gay couples to legalise their unions. But the right then, nearly two decades ago, is not the right of today. If you want diversity of thought then it’s far more likely to be found on the right than on the Left.
In this video Dr Borysenko speaks eloquently and convincingly about five misconceptions that the Left have about the Right. These misconceptions range from the false assumption by leftists that the right is racist, that the right is homophobic and that the right is the problem. The reality as Dr Borysenko found, is that the right is not racist or homophobic and are mainly made up of normal people who just want to be left alone by Government and where people empower themselves.
