Neither Boris Johnson or his Government are on the side of the average Briton.

Although I voted for Boris Johnson back in December 2019, I have become extremely disillusioned with the conduct of the government he leads. Yes, he’s delivering, or rather looks to be, the Brexit that the majority voted for in 2016, but on nearly everything else his government has been an absolute disaster where incompetence and arrogance has been tinged with a large helping of authoritarianism.

Just look at the difference between how Boris Johnson’s government is treating Britons and how it treats others such as those with a lefty ideological bent, the channel invaders and the far too many legal migrants who enter Britain every year.

Let’s just look at the stupid and pointless mask issue for starters. There has obviously been resistance to the Government’s mask policy. This resistance is entirely of the government’s own making. There was a time when masks could have been justified which is at the very start of the Covid pandemic when little was known about the disease or its effects, but not when the disease is going the way of nearly all pandemics and dying off. People are starting to realise that the use of masks in shops is pointless, they have the knowledge that a virus is quite small enough to pass through relatively large gaps between the fibres in a standard surgical mask. However the government’s response has not been to review the policy of compulsory masks in the light of evidence, but to come over even more authoritarian than they were previously. The maximum fines for consistent non mask wearing in shops is being raised to £3200 and I believe that this has been brought in to both frighten the average Briton into compliance and to try to stop the increasingly well organised anti mask protests that are starting to occur. This is not the action of a politician who respects the people that they govern, this is the action of a tyrant. We’ve seen it time and time again, in various nations across the world how the first action a tyrant takes when challenged by the people, whether they be the working class, the intelligentsia or by peaceful political groups, is to ramp up the punishment for dissidents. This is what fascist, communist and theocratic governments do when challenged. These are the actions of a capricious all powerful monarch not the actions of a government that should represent the people in a democratic constitutional monarchy.

We as Britons are under the most ludicrous and by now unjustifiable restrictions on our movements and actions, we have an economy that has been deliberately tanked by the government for no real good reason it seems especially when comparing Britain’s Covid death toll and economic hit with other nations. The stupid and pointless masks in shops rule has put off many people from physically going shopping and instead are ordering stuff online often from overseas suppliers. I have not for example physically been in a shop since the mask rule came in. All that I need for work etc I buy online whereas in the past I would just pop down to my local shop. These mask rules are killing our high streets and preventing Britons from spending in the areas where it is most needed which is locally.

We cannot easily go shopping or socialise or any of the other things that keep a society sane. In some areas, thanks to Boris Johnson’s very damaging decision to grant local authorities draconian powers to shut down this and that, even children’s playgrounds remain locked shut.

Now let’s look at how Boris Johnson’s government treats others. This government, like its predecessor under Theresa May, is presiding over an immigration disaster the likes of which we have not seen since the early days of the Blair administration. There were 600k legal migrants who entered the UK in 2018, there are 1.8 million illegal migrants currently resident in the UK and we are faced with an invasion of young men from across the English Channel that the Government does little about apart from putting them up in four star hotels and dumping them on unsuspecting towns and cities in places that neither want nor need ‘enriching’ by violent third world potential criminals.

Boris Johnson and his government are making all the right noises regarding the invaders from across the Channel, that’s all the government is doing, making pointless and empty noises. They are doing nothing about the problem of excessive legal immigration nor are they removing those who need to be removed from the UK.

Boris Johnson’s government is treating Britons like the dogshit he might accumulate on his shoe whilst on a walk, whilst treating the Channel invaders like kings. We are ruled by a government dominated by monstrous levels of incompetence coupled with authoritarianism and one which doesn’t consider the rights or desires of the British people as a whole. The arrogance of the Johnson government is extraordinary especially when it comes to migration. They must know that they gained a large number of votes from Britons in the former Red Wall seats that voted because they and their communities are stressed by immigration, yet the government chooses to ignore the very people who handed them power. We have a government that closes children’s playgrounds whilst propping the door of the nation open.

I’m mightily disappointed by the Tories. They have become the Lib Dems hiding behind a blue rosette. If no sensible, freedom promoting fourth party comes to prominence between now and 2024, then I will be faced with a ballot paper where none of the candidates or parties represent me and mine. I will be in the invidious position of either having to abstain, spoil my ballot paper or vote for an independent with no hope of being elected but after seeing this shower of shit in office since December 2019, I’m really not sure I can vote for the Tories in their current incarnation.
