It appears that the suspect in Sunday morning’s Birmingham stabbathon has been arrested. He also appears to have been apprehended relatively quickly at a house in Selly Oak in Birmingham which shows that West Midlands Police’s appeal for assistance in catching this stabby bastard appears to have worked.

However, the arrest does raise some questions about the conduct of West Midlands Police. The big question being asked by myself and others is how was a stabby bastard allowed to carry on being a stabby bastard for two hours? What were West Midlands Police doing? Central Birmingham is copiously covered by public sector CCTV yet the police seemed to have no idea what was going on until it was all over.

Were officers just not bothering to monitor CCTV or try to catch this stabber after the first stabbing incident? Is this just general police incompetence or is it something more sinister? Could it be for example that the police, hidebound as WMP are with political correctness and heavily influenced by various identity politics grievance mongers, feeling that they could not act for fear of some sort of ‘racism’ accusation? Apparently the police, according to a report in the Daily Mail, are going to have an investigation into how Stabby McStabface was allowed to stab people in a two hour spree, but I have little confidence that such an investigation will reveal any reason for the delay in acting nor will it cast blame on any police officer.

The fact that this stabber was allowed to continue stabbing people in various locations for such an extended period of time is seriously worrying and could indicate that there is something more than usually rotten in the heart of the force that police’s Britain’s second largest city.
