I’m increasingly utterly astounded by the way that this government is shredding the civil liberties of Britons over the Coronavirus. Despite covid deaths going down dramatically from where they were earlier in the year and despite examples from other nations of less heavy handed ways to deal with the covid issue, the government’s response has been yet more authoritarianism.

Well now as well as the ludicrous ‘rule of six’ and even more economy smashing measure such as locking down entire areas, the government now wants the citizenry to become Stasi style informers on their neighbours. Sorry but I will not do that. I abhor petty grasses I really do. They are the lowest of the low in my view and the presence and activities of these grasses seriously wounds the bonds of societal trust that we once had.

I pledge this.

I will not inform on anyone breaching Covid rules

I will not cooperate with Boris’s Brownshirts the sinister ‘Covid-Safe Wardens’

I will not give information to any Govt agency about those breaching the increasingly capricious Covid rules or those who are standing up against them.

This sort of government informer shit was what characterised the former East Germany. It should never have been allowed to take root here and I believe should be defied. Longrider has also had some thoughts on this and like him I will not become a petty informer for the government. If my neighbours want to have a party with more than six people present, the authorities will not hear about it from me.
