If the situation regarding free speech is bad in England and Wales, it’s considerably worse in Scotland. Devolved government has not, from what I’ve seen so far, brought freedom to the Scots or helped to create a Scottish government more responsive to the needs of Scots. Instead it has brought some of the worst tyranny that the Scots have faced for many years.

I was both shocked and disgusted to find out via a Count Dankula video this morning that a man who was prevented by lunatic Covid rules, brought in by the Scottish National Party, from attending his much loved uncle’s funeral, has been arrested for mocking Nicola Sturgeon. The 44 year old man sent an email to Sturgeon containing a well known and well travelled meme of Sturgeon, the SNP leader, dressed in a Nazi uniform. In the email the man described Sturgeon as ‘being like Thatcher’ and ‘smelling like shite’.

The man who was arrested was arrested for issuing ‘threats’ but no threats have been disclosed by the media even though mentioning these alleged ‘threats’ would have made for a much better story. It’s likely that there were no credible threats contained in the ’offending’ email, only mockery. If there were then it would have been in the interests of the SNP and the media to publicise what these threats were.

What gets me about this case is just how snowflakey and weak SNP politicians and staff really are. The office worker who opened the email judged that the best course of action to take regarding the mockery was to call in the police. WTF!! Many of us get insults, mockery and criticism every damned day but we are adult enough and sensible enough not to call in the police. This is not an action that shows strength on the part of the SNP, it shows weakness. It shows that the SNP, it’s politicians and its support workers, cannot handle the contact sport that is politics and that rather than moving on when confronted with mockery, instead become the equivalent of the playground bully.

I agree with Count Dankula’s advice to Scots. If they want to be governed sensibly and justly then they need to vote out the Left wing lunatic tyrants of the SNP. What the Scots should realise and realise soon is that if things are bad now with regards the right to speak freely, then they will get one thousand times worse if the SNP get their way and push through ‘hate speech’ laws that will crush what’s left of free speech in Scotland.
