We can all make errors with technology, it is somewhat natural when confronted with a piece of equipment or software that is unfamiliar to us. I’m not immune to making errors, in fact if I recall correctly, I made my first tech gaffe on one of these when trying my hand with BASIC….
However, some tech gaffes are funny, especially when made by those who are supposed to be clever enough, well paid enough and familiar enough with the particular tech to not make basic errors such as, for example, leaving ones microphone switched on during a Zoom meeting.
This is the latest gaffe that Labour MP Dianne Abbott has made during an online meeting of the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee. As you can see from this short video from the Parliamentarian channel, she left her microphone on and caused a massive amount of echoing feedback to assault the ears of MP’s.
Something tells me that this short video is going to end up as some sort of worldwide meme by sunset tomorrow LOL.
Still I suppose it could be worse? She could have been caught out doing a ‘Jeffery Toobin’, which would have indeed have been far more embarrassing.
I see that other gemius Mrs Balls steps in to solve the issue with her opinion,,,, with knowing nothing at all about the problem,,,, Nothing changes with that lot of buffoons,,
I don’t know what was more unedifying about that short vid, the view of Ms Abbott’s face from below or Mrs Balls doing her usual bulldog chewing a wasp expression of disdain for everything?
It wasn’t “Toobin” that was the problem, so much as “Tube-out”….
LOL yes indeedy
Commodore PET !
Almost my first encounter with computers too.
First was AIM-65 assembly language computer at Uni. A few days later a PET & Basic – wow. Back in those days ‘calling’ Assembly routines from Basic was useful
Shame she didn’t have a phone call and go on a rant about Corbyn and how she hates Jews, Whites and her druggie son
Echo, echo, echo
Delays, echo, green screen, talk over, eye candy Suzanne
