From Elsewhere: Some good news for a change. Convert to Islam changes his mind.

I’ve written some quite harsh, but sadly accurate things, about those who convert to Islam who go straight to Jihad without passing through any recognisable peaceful phase of Islam. The phenomenon of those who convert to Islam and go straight to extremism may be down to several factors such as violent people being attracted to a violent ideology, Islamic evangelists targeting those who are violent, Islam not being too choosy who it lets in and it being very easy to get into Islam as all you need to do to get in is recite in front of witnesses, the Islamic declaration of faith.

Not all of those who convert to Islam do so because they are inherently violent individuals though, some are naive or are those searching for a spiritual path and get involved with Islam without realising what Islam teaches nor what its theology says. As I said earlier, unlike with Christianity and Judaism who demand some level of knowledge and proof of faith before you can get in, Islam takes anybody who makes the declaration of faith. With Christianity there is instruction before baptism and with Judaism there is at least a two year period of study and living as a Jew before a person can be allowed in. Islam does not have these pre-joining practises and this can lead to some who choose Islam realising after they’ve joined that they’ve made the wrong decision.

Apostate Prophet, an ex Muslim whom I have an enormous degree of respect for, has highlighted the story of a popular Muslim convert who has realised, after a period of being an Islamic apologist, that they made the wrong decision. This person has publicly renounced their belief in Islam and it appears that this situation has been brought about by his more in depth study of Islamic texts.

Rather than rehash what Apostate Prophet has said I shall merely refer you to his video which is embedded below. It’s a good one and shows that at least in some cases, those who choose Islam can pull back from the brink and leave once they realise just what they’ve got themselves into.

  1. I would have thought that reading the Koran would be the minimum amount of research any potential convert would want to do before joining Islam. Then again there a very few Christians who have read the Bible. I read the Bible from cover to cover and have to say that most of it is pretty awful, very boring and with very questionable moral messages. Despite it being much thinner, I couldn’t make it through the Koran, tedious, repetitive and self contradictory. Truly terrible.

  2. Hopefully the practitioners of the Religion of Peace don’t now decide to target, harass and kill him for “apostasy”, as said religion of peace has very strict rules about leaving or rejecting its peaceful embrace, that the only “peace” shall be that of the grave and cast into hell where Allah will burn off his skin, heal it and burn it off again, and infinitum, peacefully of course. My prediction is that he will only find peace from the practitioners of said peace, by moving and probably changing his identity and never speaking of it again, as the network of peace is extremely vengeful of those leaving, as it it written in their books of peace, love and cuddly kittens. So declareth the Sheikh and Imam of the Al-Aqsaminsterkharpet mosque, 986th holiest site in Islam, spiritual home of Hizzbollocks.

Don’t forget that Allah is oft forgiving, most merciful. I mean, how phenomenally stupid do you have to be to buy this stuff?

Some people, I’m talking here of those who are born into Islam, are able to get out of Islam relatively easily and without too much of a problem, others have far greater problems. It really depends on the family and the area of the world in which the apostate lives. It’s probably easier for someone from a relatively secular Muslim family who lives in London to leave Islam than it is for someone from a family that is entrenched in Islam that resides in somewhere like Pakistan to leave.
