There was a very interesting post on Guido today that alleged that sources inside the Labour Party have told him that Aaron Bastani the Far Left activist and co-founder of Novara Media, has been expelled from the Labour Party. Bastani, formerly known as Aaron Peters, has been a very high profile public far Leftist and as such has been invited onto broadcast media a number of times. The writer Jeremy Duns has an excellent piece about the need for ‘due diligence’ on Bastani and some interesting information about Bastani’s Phd.
However, today’s quote is not so much about the man Bastani, but about the Labour Party itself. It’s a quote that I agree with to a large degree. It is from Matt and is from the above-mentioned Guido article. The quote reads:
About time Labour booted out the self proclaimed Communists. Now if only they’d do the same with the Trots, Anti Semites, and Islamofascists within their ranks they might, just possibly, become electable again.
It’s difficult to disagree with Matt on this. After all it is these types that have led Labour away from being a party of the working class and instead to becoming a party of Islam, cross dressers, Jew haters and middle class Left plastic revolutionaries.

Spot on there. These types want to impose communism on everyone else but assume that they will be the leaders and commissars and doing all the ordering about of the proles.
If Labour booted out the self proclaimed Communists, the Trots, Anti Semites, and Islamofascists within their ranks, would there be anyone left?
If we are talking about the modern Labour Party then you may have a point. Remove the nutters trots Islamofascists and the Jew haters and the number of party members and activists would fall quite sharply.
The modern Labour Party could take a much easier route to being truthful about its aims – just change the name to the Islamic Party.
