Although Britain has had a lot of terror attacks perpetrated by Islam following terrorists, we have, possibly due to Britain’s security services being more aware of what is going on in the Islamic community than is the case in some other countries, been luckier than some of our neighbours. France for example has a horrendous problem with Islamic extremism and by extension an equally horrendous death toll that has come from it.
Since the start of the 21st century France has been subjected to at least 37 Islam related terror attacks that have caused the deaths of 272 people by Wikipedia’s reckoning. In addition to these deaths and the 974 injured in these attacks, France also suffers from a growing and increasingly radicalising Islamic population that believes itself to be above the civil law of the French state. President Macron is trying to get to grips with France’s Islam problems but whether he will be able to do so will remain to be seen. Macron seems to be more willing than other European countries to name the problem and name the problem’s source, but as France has suffered so much from Islamic terror, I doubt very much that he had any alternative but to do something. Sadly he’s not being helped that much by some of France’s Islamic organisations who are, as expected, treating Macron’s desire to curb Islamic extremism as ‘Islamophobic’.
Recently, there was another terror attack in France and the target was the same as that of Islamic terror groups across the world, the Jews. According to a number of news reports, police apprehended a knifeman in Marseille waving a knife around outside a Jewish school.

French police arrested a man after he attempted a stabbing attack outside of a Jewish school and kosher market in Marseille, France on Friday morning.
Security guards at the Yavne School in Marseille noticed a suspicious man brandishing a knife outside their premises. Right before the suspect attempted to enter a nearby kosher market, the guards swiftly detained him before he was able to harm anyone, local police told the Associated Press (AP).
The area was a hotspot for the local Jewish community where students and parents often buy food and meals before the Sabbath at the nearby kosher market.
The police are not giving any information out about the motive for this latest attack but bearing mind what city it occurred in and France’s current problems, it’s likely that this attacker was driven by a religious motive. I’d go so far as to say that I would not lay any money down on a bet that on this attacker being a Methodist. It looks like the violent interpretation of Islam has appeared again in France and sadly I doubt that this will be the last time we see something like this. Sadly there is a reason why there is a large French Jewish presence in Tel Aviv and it’s not because suddenly French Jews have decided that they prefer the Levantine sunshine, it’s because French Jews are under increasing violent pressure from increasingly out of control and dangerous French Muslim extremists.
