Successive British governments over the last few decades or so, Labour, Conservative and Coalition, have appeased Islam in various ways. This appeasement ranges from failing to do enough to support freedom of speech during the Rushdie Affair, not being vigorous enough in assessing whether the Muslims that Britain has allowed in are committed to supporting free and open societies, enacting ‘hate speech’ legislation that primarily benefits Islam, allowing hostile ghettos of Muslims to form and turning a blind eye to Islamic Rape Gangs.
We are now starting to see what all this appeasement of Islam has created. It has created a culture where the Home Office cannot bring itself to be honest with the public about the scale of the Islamic Rape Gang problem, Islamic political entryism that has destroyed whole areas and made them hostile for non-Muslims. I’ve been told by a contact in the area, that Islamic domination of local political establishments has made some parts of East London so hostile to non Muslims that loyal British Sikhs are leaving the place for safer areas.
Most recently the wages of this abject and disgraceful appeasement of the ideology of Islam has seen numerous incidents of British Jews being harassed on the street, an assistant Rabbi attacked with a brick, allegedly by two Muslims and synagogues desecrated by pro-’Palestinian’ (which should be read as pro Islam) graffiti. Whilst at present it is possible for Britain’s non-Jews to look at these incidents with some degree of detachment at the Muslim mobs harassing Jews as ‘not our problem’. That I need to say is a very short sighted view. This is because Islamic aggression may well start with Jews as targets but it never ever ends up with only Jews being targeted. We can see from the situation that has played out in France that the pattern has been like this: First the Muslim extremists and the mobs that they whip up came for the Jews but only a relatively short time after that the Muslim extremists came for the Christians. France has suffered not just monstrous levels of Islamic Jew hatred but also terror attacks on Churchgoers and also numerous arson and vandalism attacks on churches.
In France, appeasement of Islam by the state and by the Left, including by promulgating the lie that Islam is a ‘religion of peace’, has seen not just Jews and Christians attacked but also the rise of groups that openly promote Jihad. Sadly this open promotion of Jihad is not just confined to France. As we saw recently we now have open promotion of Jihad on British streets.
According to a video being distributed by Jake Wallis Simons, a writer and broadcaster who has worked for the Spectator, the Jewish Chronicle, Sky and the BBC, Jihad against Israel and against Jews is being openly pushed on British streets to a crowd that enthusiastically shouted the Islamic war cry Allah hu Akbar at menacingly frequent intervals.

Mr Simons also has a piece in the Jewish Chronicle about how an Islamic preacher who often presides over Islamic religious services in mosques in Birmingham, has also been calling for Jihad against Israel. The cleric, Shaykh Asrar Rashid, who was said by the JC to have once called the Queen ‘a disgusting woman’, called on Muslim majority nations to attack Israel with air strikes. I’d advise giving Mr Simon’s piece in the JC a read as it shows just how bold those who are either encouraging jihad or who are what could be called ‘jihad adjacent’ have become in Britain.
Rashid obviously has some religious and political influence among Muslims in the West Midlands area and this bodes very ill for the future. Mr Simon’s revelation about Rashid may only be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the issue of Islamic extremism in the West Midlands area. There may be hundreds if not thousands of ‘Rashid-alikes’ in the Birmingham and surrounding area. That’s really not a good position for either the West Midlands or the country as a whole to be in.
We’ve got to this dire point because of appeasement. Successive governments did not do enough to defend freedom of speech during the Rushdie Affair, they (and I’m thinking specifically of the government of John Major here) did nothing about Muslims living in Britain fomenting jihad against other nations. Tony Blair’s government did nothing and instead imported more Muslims and appeased still further by instituting speech controls on those who criticise Islam. The governments of Cameron, May and Johnson have continued to appease by failing to tackle Islamic extremism and criminality, have failed to properly protect those who leave Islam and are continuing to lie to the public by describing Islam as a ‘religion of peace’.
Today it is Britain’s Jews who are facing an onslaught of violence and hatred from British Muslims with only a token response from the police who are supposed to properly protect everyone. Tomorrow, whether you are a Christian, Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist or agnostic or atheist Briton, it will be you that are targeted for violence and intimidation by Islam.
