There are lots of people with opinions on the situation in the Middle East but very few of those who have expressed these opinions have done it quite as well as Ben Shapiro has done in the video linked below.
In this video Mr Shapiro does not look only at the 21st and 20th century aspects of the politics and conflicts of the region but goes right back to 1500 BCE to explain the connection to this land that the Biblical Israelites have and how today’s Jews have a claim to be the indigenous population of what is now the State of Israel.
There is stuff there that those of us who support the existence of the State of Israel will know already but it’s stuff that others, such as those who only know what the BBC tells them about the region, may be unaware of. Most people might be for example unaware that there never was an Arab Palestinian state, that it was never a separate entity or had any degree of independence or separate culture when it was a part of the Ottoman Empire. Many may also be unaware that what is now Israel ALWAYS had some Jewish presence, even after the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the Second Temple and forcibly dispersed the Jews of Judea. Even the name ‘Palestine’ is an insult to Jews as it was concocted by the Romans in order to erase any connection between Jews and the land of Judea.
