Now That’s Why Pakistan Is A S***hole. Volume 159 – Jew hatred continues to be a political weapon.

There’s a lot wrong with Pakistan and the root cause of why Pakistan is a failing state can be put down to the fact that Islam, or rather some of the worse forms of Islam on the planet, is Pakistan’s guiding ideology.

Islamic Jew hatred for example, a form of hatred that I’ve rarely seen coming from the more enlightened parts of Islam such as from the Ismailis and Ahmediyyas, is heavily embedded in the Sunni Islam that dominates Pakistan. It is therefore a matter of little surprise to find Jew hatred being used as a campaigning method or as a political tactic in Pakistani politics.

According to a report published in the UK Daily Mail (h/t ROP) a spat between two Pakistani politicians rapidly sunk to the gutter with one politician accusing another of allowing their child to be ‘brought up in the lap of the Jews’.

The Daily Mail said:

Jemima Goldsmith has condemned a Pakistani politician for her anti-Semitic comments after she attacked the socialite’s ex-husband Imran Khan for allowing his children to be ‘raised in the lap of the Jews’.

Maryam Nawaz, the vice-president of the Pakistani Muslim League, made the remark in response to a speech made by the Pakistani Prime Minister.

Mr Khan had mocked Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar for playing polo – which he referred to as a ‘kings’ sport’ – in the UK and accused her family of corruption during an election rally in the region of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Of course, with Pakistan being Pakistan, accusations of corruption end up being wrapped up with Islam-derived Jew hatred. When Imran Khan mocked Nawaz’s son for playing Polo and for corruption the response was depressingly familiar, Nawaz accused Khan of letting his family be too close to ‘Jews’.

Ms Goldsmith who used to be married to Mr Khan is alleged by the Daily Mail to have said via Twitter:

‘My kids are ‘being raised in the lap of Jews’, announced Maryam Nawaz today.

‘I left Pakistan in 2004 after a decade of anti-Semitic attacks by the media and politicians (and weekly death threats and protests outside my house). But it still continues.’

I must admit I have some admiration for how Ms Goldsmith has dealt with Nawaz’s rantings which is to basically say ‘OK so what?’

Pakistan is a mess of hatreds and oppression. It didn’t get that way through secularism or tribalism, it got that way because Islam is Pakistan’s foundation stone. Sadly I don’t think that this situation will change unless more Pakistanis either abandon Islam totally or fight to put Islam back in its box and remove its political influence.
