I’ve met plenty of transgender and transsexual people in my time on this earth. The vast majority of them just want to be left alone to get on with their lives, something that I can readily support. However in recent years the activist part of the transgender community, if such a diverse group of people with different aims and objectives can actually be called a community that is, have become increasingly intolerant and increasingly violent.
You only have to read the writings of those who oppose the idea that gender is a choice, is not fixed and threatens the rights of women, such as those by Kelly Jay Keen, to find tales of trans activist extremism. You will find stories of women being physically assaulted by trans activists, venues holding women’s rights events being threatened by trans activists and trans activists practising entryism to various groups in order to push their views.
The violent lunatics of the transgender activist movement have crossed the moral line on many an occasion both with the sort of violent activities as mentioned above and by their insistence that kids who still think that Spiderman is real have the capability to choose their own gender. But recently some of these trans activists have crossed a line that should never be crossed by anyone of any political or ethical persuasion, they’ve issued bomb threats against the author JK Rowling.
According to a report in Newsweek magazine, a trans activist wished that Ms Rowling would ‘receive a nice pipebomb in the post’. This is utterly and completely disgraceful and shows us all the violently intolerant character of all too many in the trans activist community.

JK. Rowling has hit out at a Twitter user on Monday, after she was sent a “pipebomb” threat amid a series of attacks over her previous statements about trans women.
The Harry Potter author shared a screenshot of the offending tweet, which was directed at her on Sunday, as she slammed the efforts of some trans activists to get her “cancelled.”
Responding to the post—which read, “I wish you a very nice pipebomb in the mailbox”—Rowling wrote: “To be fair, when you can’t get a woman sacked, arrested or dropped by her publisher, and cancelling her only made her book sales go up, there’s really only one place to go.”
After another Twitter user asked if the threat was a reaction to Rowling’s statements about men being allowed to use women’s restrooms and changing rooms “by simply saying they identify as a woman,” the writer said: “Yes, but now hundreds of trans activists have threatened to beat, rape, assassinate and bomb me I’ve realised that this movement poses no risk to women whatsoever.”
These trans activists who engage in such behaviour are in my view scum, utter and complete scum.
JK Rowling isn’t someone who hates transsexuals because they are transsexuals, she’s come out and said so and also said that she would march with transsexuals if they were genuinely oppressed, which of course they are not. However Ms Rowling is quite at liberty to say that a woman’s life is created by the fact that she has been brought up as a woman and that it is not hateful to say so.
Like it or not, MTF transsexuals, whether they have had surgery and medication to create for themselves the body that they desire, have not had the upbringing of a girl and then a woman. This fact of upbringing matters as it shapes us to a large extent into who we are. However for those who want to erase gender and therefore make meaningless things like same sex attraction and the provision of the necessary societal protections that women require, acknowledging such facts is all but impossible and because they can’t acknowledge such facts they resort to violence and intimidation.
In a way the disgusting behaviour of those trans activists who have made numerous threats to people like JK Rowling are showing that they have lost the argument. By stooping to violence in this way they’ve demonstrated that the arguments of the trans extremists have zero validity. Threats such as these should be treated for what they are which are crimes and the tantrums of adult toddlers.
I believe that all should be entitled to a right of free speech, even those I vehemently disagree with but dishing out threats of violence and bomb threats can have no part of free speech. Such behaviour shows that certain parts of the trans activist community have descended a long way on the stairway of madness and have eschewed debate in favour of terrorism.
I do worry where all this will lead and I fear it will lead to a backlash not against the activists, who are probably pretty well protected by dint of class and income, but against the ordinary decent transsexuals who just want to live their lives in peace. I strongly believe that it is time for the sane transsexuals of the world to come out and denounce those who are fomenting violence and doing so in their name.
Samoans have an interesting solution with their Fa’afafine and Fa’fatama (in the manner of women or men respectively) genders, allows both gender conforming and non-conforming people to have acceptance and valuable roles within their society while being allowed (possibly encouraged) to ‘be themselves’. Whether other societies could adopt something similar or not l don’t know but it does offer a lot of benefits over our current view of gender v. sex roles.
With regard to the kidults who harass those who insist on asserting that biology is real, is it just me or does there seem to be generation coming through who have grown up in a ‘virtual’ online childhood where they could be whatever they wanted to be but now lack the skills to confront reality as adults?
Gender non conformity happens in cultures across the world in some this non conformity is allowed for and accepted to varying degrees and in others it is not. One of the things about the trans cult that bothers me is that it doesn’t accept gender non conformity. To them if you ae a boy and like non boy things then you must be trans and vice versa. It erases from society the concept of the camp boy or the tom boy girl even though these are and were generally accepted or at least recognised aspects of society. The trans cult has a very very rigid concept of what gender identity is.
I think that you are right there is a feeling that a generation that has lived in a virtual world is having difficulty with reality.
Does anyone know if Rowling has reported these threats to the police? If so, I’d be interested to know what they’re doing about it, considering they would investigating a ‘protected’ group. Leaving aside the the crime of threatening violence/death, what she’s received also constitutes hate speech.
I would assume that a serious threat like a bomb threat would have been reported to the police either by Ms Rowling or by her entourage. As for the protected group stuff then that might depend on the jurisdicton that the bomb threat came from. The American law enforcement agencies don’t take too kindly to bomb threats no matter where they come from.
If JK Rowling had been a Muslim convert these activists wouldn’t dare threaten her lest they be branded as islamophobes. The hard left is so deranged now that they think that anyone is a Nazi if they defend safe spaces for women in public toilets or speak up for female children who are preyed upon by grooming gangs. Winston Churchill once said that the fascists of the future will call themselves antifascists.
Spot on there. I used to be a man of the Left, the sensible fair days work for a fair days pay type of Left, but you are correct the Left has gone deranged and sadly it’s not just the hard left, the lunacy has worked its way through the vast majority of the Left.
