The British NHS might not be the envy of the world when it comes to the provision of a quality comprehensive healthcare service, but what it is good at is providing a consistent income stream for worthless troughers, parasites and others who want to hose down themselves and others with taxpayers money. The NHS which although it might not be able to provide the same high quality services as the Dutch or German systems are able to do, does a seriously impressive job of being a constantly on money fountain for those who want to waste a bit of money.
Today I have two examples of NHS waste. The first, sourced from here, shows yet more disgusting waste on ‘diversity and inclusion’ parasites. These workers will never treat or see a patient and basically be getting money for nothing.
The second example of NHS waste comes from a study done by the Taxpayers Alliance into NHS spending on luxury goods and services, a report that has been featured on the Guido Fawkes website. According to the Guido report the NHS spent a lot on some very questionable things.
Guido said:
Though a total figure of all the spending is impossible to calculate, as many costs have been withheld, Guido has devised a list of the most ridiculous expensed goods and the reasons why they were justified. We encourage co-conspirators to judge whether this is a healthy use of tax-payer money:
- Holiday and Garden furniture worth £2,300 to “improve mental health and wellbeing”
- Hot tub worth £5,000 “to manage anxieties and behaviours”
- PS4 and games worth £300 for “improvement in mental health”
- Amazon Prime account worth £79 for “mental and emotional wellbeing”
- Weighing scales worth £499!
- Pottery & Craft Classes worth £930 per annum for a “sense of achievement and social interaction.”
- Weekly cinema visits worth £15 for “an activity to leave the home, meet social and emotional needs.”
About the only thing that I can see as even remotely justifiable is the weighing scales as someone recently said in the Guido comments that they might have been bought to help a young diabetic measure out food. However I know that it is possible to get a serviceable food scale for much less money in a supermarket. It’s quite possible that this is a scale for measuring people but unless it is something specialist and more medical equipment oriented, I can’t see how £499 can be justified.
The NHS is splurging our money on fripperies and shite whilst not providing healthcare service that we damned well pay for. It’s stories like this that make me more and more sure that my view that the NHS is something to be despised in absolutely correct.
