If you have been watching the British political scene and in particular the left hand bit of it then you will no doubt have become aware of the various open borders activists and agitators who make up the bulk of the now discredited, at least among the general public, ‘refugees welcome’ movement. This movement that campaigns to allow in to the UK whoever wants to come here no matter whether they have good reason to be here or not is primarily in my experience made up of middle class Leftists. It’s rare for me to find a genuinely working class person with roots in place and community to be as gung ho as the middle class Left are for allowing into the country every Tom, Dick or more likely, Mohammed that turns up at the ports. Maybe that is because it is Britain’s working classes who have to live with the results of the middle class left’s virtue signalling about ‘refugees’.

As is so often the case, those relatively wealthy activists who campaign for open borders rarely if ever have to live with the negative effects of this policy. These negative effects can include established communities being destabilised, rises in crime, social disorder, sexual deviance towards children and political and religious extremism. More often than not these effects are suffered by working class areas, not the area where the ‘refugees welcome’ campaigners normally reside. It’s a cost free activity for a refugees welcome activist who lives in some pretty little village in Monmouthshire or Devon to demand that Britain allows in their ‘refugee’ pets as they know that they will not have to bear the cost of their imported pets. That cost will be borne by working class people in London or Birmingham or other towns large and small that end up hosting and paying for the ‘refugees’ that the middle class Lefties have welcomed.

One of the worst offenders when it comes to ‘refugee’ virtue signalling is the Care4Calais group. This entity provides food, water, temporary accommodation and a whole host of other goodies for the ‘refugees’ aka the chancers who are resident in the Calais area and who congregate there in the hope of entering the UK illegally. This scandal hit group, the former CEO of Care4Calais had to step down from her position after having an affair with a ‘refugee’, supports thousands of fake refugee chancers resident in the Calais area and is well known for agitating for the UK to let their pet ‘refugees’ enter the UK.

Recently the Care4Calais group put out what they thought was a story of a ‘refugee’ that would tug at the heartstrings of the gullible and stupid who are in the main the usual supporters of Care4Calais. Unfortunately for Care4Calais what happened is that the great British public roundly and justifiably in my view dished out some vitriolic criticism of both Care4Calais and their fake ‘refugee’ pets.

And here are just some of the responses from the public who plainly do not hold the same views about the Channel crossing invaders as Care4Calais do. Talk about being soundly ratioed. There were very few comments that I saw at the time of writing that supported either Care4Calais or their chosen ‘refugee’.
