It seems that not even BBC children’s programmes are safe from bias. A recent episode of Go Jetters where the characters visit a different part of the world in each episode featured the Dead Sea.
Not an issue I hear you say. But the issue to me is this. The programme always mentions the name of the country in which the episode is set. It would for example have a character say that today the Go Jetters characters were in a fishing village in Thailand or at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. However for the episode on the Dead Sea the programme went out of its way to not say the name of the country that the Dead Sea is in, which is Israel. The BBC coyly said that the Dead Sea is in the ‘Middle East’ and didn’t give the exact location of this feature.
Of course this might be an innocent oversight, but then again it might not be. After all this is the BBC we are talking about here, an organisation that has often been associated with less than honest reporting when it comes to the subject of Israel and the Middle East. If this is bias then it’s pretty disgraceful that such bias is even reaching down to the BBC’s once much admired but no longer, children’s television output.
OK Then, London is in the Middle West, hope that is helpful & educational?
LOL Nice one. I’ve taken to referring to London as ‘Khan’s shithole’ as it sadly now a pretty accurate description.
Fattened on tax payers money extorted on threat of criminal law and gorged on the cash of those struggling to eat or heat. The BBC is above the need to be truthful or to produce decent output, it’s income is assured and it’s place of privilege is assured by charter.
The one thing that once made the BBC both special and much admired, the ability to be insulated from the world of commercial broadcasting and the ability to experiment has also been the cause of its capture by the Left.
