From Elsewhere: The American Witch Doctor will see you now.

For all its faults with regards accessibility and cost, the US medical system is one of the most advanced in the world. For those who have the insurance coverage to afford what the US medical system can provide, it is one that has improved their quality of life and lengthened the period where life can be said to be good. If money was no object and I was ill, I’d plump for treatment by an American hospital rather than a hospital run by Britain’s National Health Service on the grounds that the treatment in a US hospital is likely to be better.

But for how long can I think that? With the forces of woo, both gender woo and critical race theory woo, gaining influence over the US medical system, I doubt that the US system can continue to parade itself as the most scientifically advanced health care service.

A good example of how various types of woo have infiltrated the US medical establishment comes from Christopher Rufo an American conservative activist and commentator. He’s uncovered a situation at Minnesota University medical school where students are being forced to utter an oath to fight ‘white supremacy’ and other ‘forms of oppression’ along with ‘acknowledging indigenous ways of healing’.

This is not an oath to advance knowledge, this is the acceptance of the ways of a cult, this time the cults of critical race theory, gender ideology and intersectionalism. I don’t know about you but I’d feel pretty uneasy about being treated by a medic whose vow is not to treat patients to the best of their ability, but to a divisive cult.

America seems to be going down a path where in future those going for medical treatment and sitting in the doctor’s waiting room might be told ‘the witch doctor will see you now’.

  1. It seems as if the old joke is about to come true.
“The Doctor will see you now madam.”
    “Which doctor?”
“We do have one of those if you’d prefer madam.”

More seriously, I’d hope that the students would refuse to take that oath and substitute the hypocratic oath.

Yes I do hope that later on some good sense prevails and that they reject this bullshit.
