I see that the political editor for ITV, Robert Peston has been whining his little head off about being barred from a gentleman’s club for wearing trainers. He’s gone ballistic on social media about having to borrow a pair of shoes from the club’s Porter’s office in order to have lunch with someone at the club.
Peston said:
What an idiot. He should have known or at least made himself aware of the dress code of the club. I fail to believe that a political editor does not possess and has easy and immediate access to a suit and a proper pair of shoes. If I can be arsed to wear a suit to go to my child’s parents evening* then surely Peston could wear the appropriate clothes and footwear to a high end gentleman’s club, places that are known, even by plebs like me, to have strict dress codes. Peston is a whining man-child and he’s only whining because the club has higher dress code standards than he appears to have.
*A very proud Daddy writes: I know I look good in a suit but my seven year old son looks even better. In a three piece suit (which we have and keep updating for him for more formal occasions) he looks fabulous, he looks for all the world like a miniature Jacob Rees-Mogg
So …
a Journo and luvvie is told that some people have standards …
and objects.
I wonder why!
Maybe because has few sartorial standards of his own.
