Obsessive transgender activists who tried to encourage a boycott of the recently released Hogwarts Legacy video game seem to have come extremely unstuck. Their boycott attempt has failed dismally with the result that not only is the game selling very well but which has also exposed just how little support among the general public the transgender cause and the trans extremists has.
Newsweek said:
Forbes has reported that Hogwarts Legacy is already proving to be a hit, becoming the top-earning game on Steam, the best-selling game on the Epic Store, and the deluxe and regular editions holding the top two spots on Amazon‘s best-selling games for the PS5.
Amazon is also reporting robust business on Xbox Series X, with the game’s two deluxe editions and the regular editions holding the top three best-selling games spots.
The news will surely come as a major disappointment to Rowling’s army of detractors, who had launched a campaign to see the highly anticipated game relegated to clearance bins after failing to sell.
It appears that the market has spoken and it has not spoken up in support of the trans extremists. Nice one!
The Streisand Effect strikes again. The reason the game is selling so well, is because of these hysterical muppets shining a massive spotlight on it. Most gamers had never heard of Hogwarts Legacy until the muppets started screaming about it. Then, they either put in orders out of curiosity, or simply to annoy the muppets. As result, what would have been a game that sold quite well has become a huge phenomenon. All because of the Trans activists inability to keep their mouths shut.
You make a very good point about the Streisand Effect and the good effect it has had on sales. You are most certainly correct in noting that the boycott attempt has alerted people who might not have considered a purchase to make the purchase. However, this game, due to its nature would have sold well anyway, the extra sales created by the hysterical trans-muppets is a bonus.
