Two faced Starmer and his political hypocrisy

Labour Leader Sir Keir Starmer.

It appears that Sir Keir Starmer the Labour Party leader is trying to stop former leader Jeremy Corbyn from standing as a Labour candidate. Part of the reasoning for this decision by Starmer is because Corbyn standing as a Labour candidate would impair the chances of the party’s electoral prospects.

I must admit that a party without Corbyn and the massive amount of political baggage that comes with him, might make the party just that little bit more electable but the fact that this move comes from Starmer reeks of hypocrisy. After all you don’t have to go back that far chronologically to find Sir Keir Starmer not only sitting in a Corbyn alongside far lefties like John McDonnell, but was actively and enthusiastically campaigning for Jeremy Corbyn to be Prime Minister.

Starmer obviously thought that Corbyn was an asset to the party otherwise he would have not sat in the shadow cabinet and would not have worked hard to get Corbyn into Number Ten. Remember, Starmer kept schtum about Corbyn’s obvious defects and also kept schtum about the massive number of Jew haters and pro-’Palestine’ freaks that dominated the party under Corbyn.

It speaks volumes about Starmer’s moral compass that he had opportunities to speak up against the ravages of Labour’s far left many times in the past, but chose to do or say bugger all. Only now, when it really don’t matter and when Corbyn and Corbynism has been consigned to the political dustbin, does Starmer speak up. As with the trans issue, there have been plenty of opportunities for Starmer to say and do the right and proper things, but he chose not to. Starmer and his busted moral compass and rampant hypocrisy doesn’t exactly fill me with either joy or a desire to vote for Starmer’s Labour Party.
