Quote of the Day 03rd July 2023. Britons cannot trust the Tories on immigration.

Many people who are concerned with the high levels of immigration both of the legal and illegal kind have put their faith in the Conservative Party at election time in the hope that the Tories will sort out this obvious problem in British society. Vote Tory and cut migration has been the Tory election message for decades. But the problem, as Harry Clynch writing in The Critic Magazine, points out is that the Tories make a lot of noise about reducing immigration but this noise is not reflected in the policies that they follow when in government. The last election saw Boris Johnson’s government make British border control more and not less liberal and since 2010 when the Tories governed with the Lib Dems in Coalition, the Tories have been incredibly relaxed about the importation of cheap labour not matter what the cost to society as a whole.

Mr Clynch said:

Anybody who’s concerned about the levels of immigration this country is experiencing shouldn’t take the Rwanda bait. It’s nothing more than a ploy designed to try and cover up the Conservatives’ record on immigration — which is one of deceit, deception, and abysmal failure. More importantly, those in favour of lower migration numbers should make sure they don’t vote Tory under any circumstances at the next election. Enough is enough.

I completely agree on this. The Tories have deceived the British people over immigration since at least 2010. They’ve made all the right noises about migration and told the public that they would bring migration numbers down but have done the complete opposite once in power. I along with many other Britons are extremely concerned about the excessive numbers and incompatible types of immigration and have voted Tory in order to stop or slow down this influx. However next time is going to be different. I know the Tories will lie about this, there’s now too much evidence available to me to be able to deny this any more. Mr Clynch is correct. If we want lower immigration, if we want secure borders, if we want the very necessary legal reforms that will allow Britain to say ‘no’ to pretend refugees and exploitative economic migrants then we need to vote for parties that will truly bring in policies that will achieve this. Unfortunately that immigration sceptic party is not the Conservatives.
