So we have had yet another Hamas hate march taking place in London, although a much smaller one than we’ve seen previously, where yet again the Metropolitan Police were shamed by their own actions. Yet again we saw Hamas hate marchers being policed with the sort of kid gloves that I’ve never seen being used when there are demonstrations involving the right or centre right. At one point pro-Hamas protestors threw fireworks at police whilst another felt bold enough to engage in calling the police his ‘slaves’. I was astonished at this as bearing in mind I’m someone who has been at both the Poll Tax riot in the 90’s and the Wapping Protests in the 80’s and never at these incidents saw the police behave so inertly when faced with violence as the Met have been when facing the pro-Hamas hate marchers.
The hate marches have mutated, possibly due to smaller numbers, from the normal type of static or moving protest, into smaller groups of mobile mayhem of the sort that pops up here and there and puts the police on the back foot. Sometimes the Met have used this to their advantage and have been able to kettle and then disperse the protestors as I saw via video as happened in Oxford Circus, however elsewhere, at least from what I’ve heard and seen, the Met seem to have adopted a policy of stand there and do sod all when faced with aggression from the pro-Hamas hate marchers.
It was also a weekend where the Met were faced with another sort of shame but this time an organisational one. Over the weekend it was revealed in the press and on various social media platforms that the Met seems to have been penetrated by some particularly questionable Islamic groups and individuals.
First the Daily Telegraph, revealed that a man from the London Muslim Communities Forum, whom the police have apparently consulted on various issues and have met with, was filmed in 2021 at a demonstration leading a chant of ‘from the river to the sea’, a chant with genocidal meanings.
The Telegraph article is behind a paywall but Sky News has also covered this story and has said:
The Metropolitan Police has ceased working with an adviser who was filmed leading a chant of the controversial slogan “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”.
Solicitor Attiq Malik is chair of the London Muslim Communities Forum, which serves as a “strategic advisory body” to Scotland Yard.
Footage shared by The Sunday Telegraph shows Mr Malik leading the controversial chant in 2021 after speaking out against “global censorship by the Zionists”.
The paper reported Mr Malik had been present in the police operations room during protests about the Israel-Hamas war last month.
The Met Police said the language and views expressed by Mr Malik “appear antisemitic and contrary with our values” and it would be “immediately ceasing our relationship” with him while it investigates.
The force said the video “has brought to our attention that the chair of the London Muslim Communities Forum has expressed views in a way which does not align to the Met’s values.”
The fact that this particularly nasty Islamic extremist was involved in police operations regarding the pro-Hamas demonstrations that have taken place in London over the past month is particularly disturbing. It makes one wonder whether this individual may have had some input into police operations and if the appeasing attitude that the Met has shown towards the Hamas hate marchers might have been due to influence by Malik and similar ‘advisors’.
I’m astounded that the Met doesn’t seem to have done any checking on this extremist Muslim prior to engaging with him, the Telegraph managed it but the Met could not.
Still at least Attiq ‘Malicious’ Malik was an external advisor and not an actual employee of the Met. Surely those whom the Met actually employs are clean and have been properly vetted for probity and non-attachment to extremism. Oh wait, there’s another one, this time someone actually employed by the Met who is calling for those who support Israel in its war against the savages of Hamas to be considered as criminals by Counter Terror police. Amina Ahmed is a woman who describes herself as a ‘leadership program facilitator and project manager’ with the Met and has said on social media that anyone who supports Israel’s war against Hamas savagery to be criminalised as ‘Islamophobic’.
The Daily Mail said:
The Met Police has revealed it is investigating a ‘leadership coordinator’ who apparently said that supporting Israel should be a ‘hate crime.’
Amina Ahmed describes herself on her LinkedIn page as a ‘leadership program facilitator and project manager’ at the Met Police, and seemingly made calls for those who support Israel to be investigated for a ‘hate crime.’
In an edited comment posted in her name, she wrote: ‘I think at this point, if anyone openly agrees with the war in Gaza, they should be called out as Islamophobic and inciting hatred against Muslims.’
‘That should be investigated as extremism. Whether the [counter-terrorism] world decides to act fairly and proportionately and treat IDF support as an extremist ideology, I don’t know.’
The force said it was now looking into Ahmed’s post, with a spokesperson telling MailOnline: ‘We are aware of this post circulating on social media and are currently reviewing it.’
This is another case where the Met has failed to do proper due diligence on those it employs or works with. This person is quite possibly in a place where she can influence her police workplace and that is not good. I have little doubt that if she had been for example a supporter of Tommy Robinson or had voiced support for Irish Republican extremism then it’s more than likely that she would never have been employed by the Met in the first place, initial counter terror vetting would have discovered her views and she might have been quietly denied employment.
I both these cases the Met have royally screwed up. When it came to finding ‘advisors’ about Islam they seem to have gone out of their way to seek out the most extreme of individuals and the most extreme of Islamic voices. In their employment policies the Met has either deliberately turned a blind eye to employees with extreme Islamic views or have been so utterly incompetent that someone like Ahmed can slip through.
The Met is an utter and complete mess. There needs to be a complete and thorough investigation of ALL the identity politics groups that have had contact with the Met and which have advised this force going back at least ten years and an examination of all staff to check for extremism or extremist views. I suspect that if this was done we will find out that there might be many other Maliks who’ve advised the Met and many other Islamic entryists such as Ahmed lurking in the Met. I’ve suspected that the Met has been dodgy for years with regards to Islamopandering so I’m not that shocked by these revelations, but the public is probably going to be extremely shocked by the full extent of Islamic entryism into the Met and the negative effects it may well be having on policing.
I spoke to Petrie Hoskin last night on TalkTV on this very subject. One point I made was that as a member of a crime prevention charity, I had to undergo a background check.
I assume that this hateful individual and others also had to submit to this, or, as I suspect, the Plods skipped it to avoid being called “phobic”?
Will we ever find out?
