I’m no great fan of Piers Morgan, I don’t know what it is but I just do not like the man nor do I wish to choose to consume much of his media output as it really doesn’t interest me. However just as a broken analogue clock tells the correct time twice a day so can Piers Morgan occasionally produce something that is massively admirable.
Piers Morgan’s interview with Jeremy Corbyn and the equally odious former trade union leader Len McCluskey is a masterclass in showing up and interviewee. Mr Morgan managed to get Corbyn on the ropes and flailing as Corbyn refused to denounce Hamas as a terrorist group. McCluskey also ended up looking like Corbyn’s prompt man or puppeteer in this interview.
Neither Corbyn nor McCluskey came out of this interview with any honour whatsoever and that is as it should be. It’s not often that I say this but well done Piers Morgan you showed up this pair as being the awful arseholes that they are.

Understandably, since they didn’t start with any. But I fear it’ll not sway a single one of their wretched supporters.
With the likes of Corbyn and McCluskey the point of interviewing them should be not to get these loons to change their mind nor is to chang the minds of those who worship them, it is to convince those who may be uninformed or on the fence about them that this pair are awful wankers.
Mccluskey must be very stupid and naive if he thinks that giving the Palestinians more concessions will mean that Hamas will be removed from power as a consequence. The fact that they have openly stated that they want Israel utterly destroyed doesn’t enter his daft head. The fact that more concessions at this point would simply be rewarding their vile behaviour doesn’t occur to him either.
I would add that offering concessions to the Palestinians in exchange for peace has been tried before. Of course doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result this time is an established socialist practice after all.
