I used to work closely with police officers both as a court reporter and a freelance photojournalist. I also used to do freelance photography work for various police publications back in the day. Did I like every officer I had professional contact with? The answer is of course not. Some of these officers were, biased or bent or brutes or the sort of flawed thief takers that would not be able to exist in today’s police forces. However I still respected them for keeping the public safe.
Fast forward to today and my views of Britain’s police are significantly different from what they once were. Instead of respecting the police I now find myself often being disgusted by them and in particular by the antics of the senior management of police forces.
While it would be wrong of me to say that ALL police officers are wrong’uns, there are some brilliant individual lower level front line officers, I don’t think that I can say the same about the senior management of Britain’s police forces. This is because these officers in senior command positions are all too ready to take political positions rather than police every Briton equitably or impartially.
A good example of police forces behaving politically rather than engaging in impartial policing is how police forces have dealt with, or rather not, the wave of Jew hatred coming from Britain’s Islamic communities. When British Jews were highlighting how British Muslims and their Leftist handmaidens were flying Swastikas on the streets of London, or calling for the murder of Israeli Jews, the Metropolitan Police did nothing. When jihad chants were being made at these pro-Hamas hate marches, Met officers went out of their way to gaslight the public into believing that ‘jihad’ didn’t mean what we can all clearly see it means. The Met even had extremism adjacent Islamic advisors and people that the Met worked with as part of ‘community outreach’. If you wanted to find one word to describe how the Met and other forces have acted when it comes to Islamic Jew hatred then that word would be ‘Islamopandering’.
Now we find out via the Jewish Chronicle that the Metropolitan Police decided that doing sod all was the correct response to Islamic Imams calling for the destruction of the homes of Jews. Despite complaints about this sort of behaviour from Islamic clerics and despite the known propensity for extremist Muslims to get all kinetic about the expression of their ideology’s hatred of Jews, the Met decided that doing nothing about the incitement to violence by Muslims was the way to go. You might hate the senior police management for turning police forces into appeasers of Islamic hatred but it’s likely that you are really not hating on these police managers nearly enough or hating them as much as they deserve.
The Jewish Chronicle said:
The Metropolitan Police has refused to push for the prosecution of an east London imam who led a prayer for the destruction of Jewish homes in a decision that has baffled security experts.
Just two weeks after Hamas’s massacre in southern Israel last year, a preacher at an east London mosque – located near a sizable Jewish community – told his followers: “Oh Allah, curse the Jews and the children of Israel. Oh Allah, curse the infidels and the polytheists.
“Oh Allah, break their words, shake their feet, disperse and tear apart their unity and ruin their houses and destroy their homes.”
Footage of the sermon by the preacher was broadcast in late 2023 as part of an investigation into antisemitic hate speech in British mosques. In response, police said they would examine the video.
A spokesperson for the Met has now told the JC that despite the fact that “many people found the content upsetting… the entire sermon, including the wording, context and narrative have been reviewed and officers concluded that it does not meet the threshold of a crime”.
Sadly this sort of ‘don’t upset the Muslims’ attitude that has been expressed by the Met and their spokespeople is not unusual. In fact it appears to be the Met’s standard operating procedure. They are quite happy to send officers 150 miles to arrest a blogger who has taken the piss out of a high profile Islamic activist, but can’t or refuse to see the Jew hatred spewing out of the mouths of Muslim demonstrators, Muslim political commentators and Islamic clerics.
The Jewish Chronicle added:
Jewish security group Community Security Trust (CST), which has a close and cooperative relationship with the police, said that many Jews would “struggle to understand” the decision, while a former policeman suggested this was a sign of “two-tier policing” that followed different rules for different communities.
I believe that it is quite possible that the CST have been rather too nice to the Metropolitan Police with their words here. It’s not just Jews who would ‘struggle to understand’ how Islamic hate preachers and other similar reprobates are basically let off, it’s everyone, Jew or non-Jew, Christian or Atheist, Hindu or Sikh, Man or Woman. We all look at decisions like this with utter and complete disgust at what has become of those who manage and command our police forces. The Islamopandering that the Met and sadly many other forces are engaged in doesn’t just endanger Britain’s long standing (since Cromwell’s day at least) Jewish community, it endangers all of us.
What we are seeing is not just a ‘suggestion’ of two tier policing but instead solid evidence that this sort of policing is going on. When we have a situation where Muslims can call for the murder of Israeli Jews or as in this case call for the homes of Jews to be destroyed are left alone but those who ask awkward questions about Islam or express antipathy towards this ideology, are persecuted, then we have by definition a two tier policing system.
But, unlike in many of the increasing numbers of stories regarding two tier policing, this story has a bit of a twist which might indicate that the Met Police are amenable to being shamed by the public for their behaviour. According to a later article in the Jewish Chronicle by Jake Wallis-Simons the Met are ‘reviewing’ their previous decision to take no action against this Jew hating Islamic cleric, The Met’s decision to ‘review’ came about following massive public disquiet about the Met’s decision to just crawl up this Imam’s arse and let concerns about the cleric’s Jew hatred quietly die.
Mr Wallis Simons said:
It is no exaggeration to say that Britain may be a little safer today as a result of the JC’s reporting. Yesterday, our political correspondent, Lorin Bell-Cross, revealed that the police were taking no further action after an imam in east London – not far from both the local Jewish community and Allison Pearson’s house – had led a prayer calling for the destruction of Jewish homes.
“Oh Allah, curse the Jews and the children of Israel,” he had ranted. “Oh Allah, break their words, shake their feet, disperse and tear apart their unity and ruin their houses and destroy their homes.” This had been duly reported to the Metropolitan police, who after careful consideration had concluded that there was nothing to see here, move along please.
After the JC broke the story, it garnered some attention online, with my tweet alone being viewed more than a quarter-of-a-million times. Suddenly, social media was awash with allegations of “two-tier policing” and observations that in modern Britain, “Jews don’t count”. Clearly, this was the police’s Achilles heel. Last night, the force released a statement vowing to “urgently” review the decision to drop the case because of “significant concerns” from the public.
It should not have taken public outrage to get the Met to do what they should have done in the first place, which was to take action against those who use rhetoric that in my view crossed the line into incitement to violence because of the propensity for some Muslims to treat the Imam’s comments as an instruction. It should not have taken the involvement of a small circulation specialist newspaper to get the Met to do their jobs.
Whilst the Met’s decision to ‘revisit’ the case of the Jew hating Imam should be welcomed, it’s also possible that this decision may not be the win that it should be. There’s still time for the Met to either deliberately or via incompetence screw up this new enquiry or for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), an entity that has been almost completely captured by the doctrine of identity politics, to decide, that there’s ‘not enough evidence to prosecute’. This is not merely my opinion, there is a genuine precedent for this sort of behaviour from the Met and the CPS as they failed dismally to take any action against a group of Muslims who drove in convoy through heavily Jewish areas of London calling for the rape of Jewish women. In that case the Met refused to swiftly act, but was then poked into action by the public who were outraged by these rape threatening Muslims. The problem was that the Met didn’t properly investigate this case or submit sufficient evidence to the CPS which meant that the CPS had to drop the case due to lack of evidence.
The Met might be serious about cracking down on Jew hating Islamic clerics but their track record of dealing with Islamic harassment of Jews is so piss poor that I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for any proper outcome to this case. People need to watch this case carefully in order to a) keep up the public pressure on the police and the CPS and b) to make sure that the police don’t choose the Islamopandering path again and quietly drop the case when they think all the fuss has died down.
“make sure that the police don’t choose the Islamopandering path again and quietly drop the case when they think all the fuss has died down. ”
Which is, almost certainly, what they intend to do – all in the name of “Community Cohesion” of course.
The complete lack of action over the Manchester airport attackers looks like they’re trying to kick it into the long grass.
No doubt the officer who after extreme provocation and kicked one of the scumbags, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for that damned “phobia”, while the Islamopandering CPS and Plods will do everything they can to sweep the attack under the carpet “as not being in the public interest” and to “preserve community relations” in other words, 2-tier “justice” and Islamopandering.
