In a world dominated by news of tragedy, horror, crime and other nasties it’s great to occasionally come cross some good and positive news. Finding such rare examples of good news is for me like a broke person walking along the road and finding a diamond sitting atop a dog turd and glinting in the sunlight. In that case you’d probably grab the diamond despite its malodorous surroundings.

So it is with stories from the Islamic world, which are normally ones of unmitigated horror, especially when you are reading about the situation regarding what I tend to call the ‘ignored jihad’ in Africa. The world tends to ignore the tens of thousands of Africans from across the continent whose lives are ended or disrupted by the activities of the various jihadi groups that operate in Africa.

Therefore it’s incredibly nice to be able to bring to you all a good story from what is otherwise a nightmarish situation with regarding jihad in Africa. It’s a story with a really happy ending which is the deaths of jihadi savages who would otherwise gone on to murder innocent Africans.

According to a report on the Sahara Reporters website (h/t ROP) seven jihadi savages from an African branch of the Islamic State terror group met a welcome but grisly end when improvised explosive devices they were preparing detonated prematurely.

Sahara Reporters said:

No fewer than seven members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have been reportedly killed in an explosion in a locality between Ba’anfani and Koleram in the far Lake Chad Basin of Borno State. 

It was learnt that the incident occurred on December 30, 2024.

This was disclosed by a security source in the Lake Chad area in a report on Wednesday. 

He noted that the terrorists were killed while attempting to prepare improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which the terrorists likely intended to use for attacks in the region.

The statement reads in part; “At least seven terrorists belonging to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) were killed in an explosion while attempting to prepare improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

These seven dead terrorist scum represent seven different jihadi attackers who will no longer be preying on long suffering Africans. No more will these jihadi savages be able to inflict religiously inspired violence on innocent people. Who knows how many people these seven jihadi savages and their bombs would have killed and maimed.

The death of these jihadi savages has both directly and indirectly saved a lot of lives. The death of these jihadi savages is in my view and objective good for humanity.
