Britain is plagued by crime. It’s got to the stage where we have so many murders that the sort of shocking murder cases that would be big stories in the press that ran for at least a week or two in one form or another, now disappear from media consciousness in a day or so. There are now so many murders with so many of these killings having particularly bestial aspects to them, that they no longer treated by media, either national media or regional or local media, as the big unusual stories that they once were. These murders have become just societal background muzak, of a particularly bloodstained and tragic kind. The police, for all their many faults, do at least make an effort to catch killers, even if the courts can sometimes treat those convicted of murder and manslaughter with more mercy than they should get.
It’s a similar story with less serious crimes. Britain is a place where property crime is rampant but it’s also a place where thievery is becoming a grudgingly accepted part of societies background noise. You can say similar for sexual crimes, crimes of violence, anti social behaviour and much more. These crimes eat away at communal trust and fear of such crimes ends up restricting the innocent and the law abiding. Fear of being mugged or raped or harassed keeps those who have a damned good right to be kept safe from wrong’uns and be out in public and being part of society, locked up in their own homes.
Whilst I concur that police forces on the whole do a reasonable job of apprehending and bringing to trial murderers, they are very often less good at tackling other crimes. They are not preventing these crimes by their actions and are certainly not doing enough to investigate these crimes. It is rare these days for the victim of a burglary to be visited by a scenes of crime officer who would gather evidence for a case should there be an arrest or indeed to assist in making an arrest. Today’s burglary victim is more than likely to be fobbed off with a crime number that they can pass on to their insurance company should they wish to make a claim, a claim that will without doubt raise their future insurance premiums.
Many people have over the years asked this question of our police forces and that is basically ‘why are you so shit at preventing and investigating the sort of crimes that bother the average person?’. Often the reply from police forces has been to bemoan the paucity of resources that they have. Police officers cannot, after all be trained, deployed and paid without money from the public purse. ‘We’re skint’ they cry and to be honest previous governments did cut resources from policing. However, even though many of us would like to see more money be spent on policing that prevents the crimes that most afflict the average British Subject and apprehending criminals it’s also pretty clear that some police forces have expenditure priorities that raise more than a few eyebrows. There should be little argument about expenditure on police officers or their support services, any reasonable person would see the provision of warranted police officers to a community as being a core unavoidable expenditure. But some police forces have a warped outlook on what should for them be a priority.
A good case in point is West Yorkshire Police. Now this is a force that really needs to have more officers out on the front line and have those officers backed up by senior management whose primary goal is public safety. Sadly that’s not the case with West Yorkshire Police. They have admitted following what looks like to me to be freedom of information request, spending thousands upon thousands of pounds on diversity and equalities staff. None of these staff are going to make any member of the public feel safer or be safer. Not even the warranted police officers who are filling some of these roles will do that as they will probably be spending most of their time of diversity related guff rather than being out on the street.
Just take a look at the figures in the letter from West Yorkshire Police which is embedded below.
Yes you’ve read and calculated that right. West Yorkshire Police are indeed spending £1,023,040 on nonsense ‘diversity’ guff. That’s well over a million pounds sterling on stuff that is likely to make zero impact on public safety in West Yorkshire.
This money would, if spent on entry level police constables, pay for one years wages for 53 officers at £19,164 per year. This is an obscene level of waste on ‘diversity’ stuff that will make not one jot of difference to the sorts of crimes that most bother the British population.
I’m shocked at this level of waste but West Yorkshire is likely to not be the only police force wasting money at this rate on non-essential and possibly damaging diversity staff. This sort of politicised spending by the police is not just wasteful but also dangerous. When officers have the sort of woke overseers that these diversity staff will be then looking over their shoulders all the damned time then I can’t see how it cannot affect how officers, even ostensibly decent ones, effectively and impartially police their areas. It’s probably schemes like this and similar ones under different names and in different police forces that negatively impact on general policing and the policing of ‘controversial’ ‘communities’? Maybe the existence of such diversity waste and its effect on policing is why we have in Britain decades of deliberate ignorance about Islamic Rape Gangs by police and women being arrested and prosecuted for saying that women do not have penises.
In Britain we are very heavily taxed by our Government. What we should be getting for our high taxes is effective, honest and efficient public services. Unfortunately we are not getting that type of service. What we are getting is piss poor services at ground level whilst diversity parasites of the sort described in the letter above take the money that should be going to front line services.
We deserve better from our police forces than dangerous, divisive and horrific waste like this. The question I will leave you with is this. How do we get rid of wasteful diversity parasites like this and get our public services working for the public as they should be doing?
