Another day, another Mohammed and another thwarted terror attack.

Oh what an amazing surprise, or rather not. We have yet another savage called Mohammed who has been convicted and gaoled for his involvement in yet another terrorism plot inspired by the ideology of Islam.

Mohammed Farooq, a trainee nurse created a viable pressure cooker bomb more powerful than the type used to massacre people at the Boston Marathon in April 2013 and wanted to use it on his fellow nurses at a hospital in Leeds. He wanted to murder fellow nurses in a mass casualty attack inspired by the ISIS Islamic terror group. His intention was to lure hospital staff out into the hospital’s car park with a bomb threat to the hospital and then detonate his device there in order to kill the nursing staff. He had also been engaged in planning an attack on the Menwith Hill RAF bas but allegedly changed his target to the hospital after finding that Menwith Hill was too heavily guarded. He was said in court to have also chosen the hospital as a target because he had failed nursing exams and had been asked to retake courses.

Miraculously Farooq was talked out of his attack by being engaged in conversation by a patient outside the hospital who had come down to the car park for a bit of fresh air. If it wasn’t for the actions of the patient who talked Farooq down and the police’s swift involvement this particular Islamic savage could have created one of the biggest mass casualty attacks on British soil in recent years.

Sky News said:

A man who took a viable pressure cooker bomb into a hospital in Leeds intending to “kill as many nurses as possible” has been jailed for life.

Mohammad Farooq was sentenced to a minimum term of 37 years at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday.

Farooq, who was a trainee nurse, was found guilty after his trial last year of attempting to launch an Islamic State-inspired suicide attack using a homemade bomb on the hospital where he worked in 2023.

He was also jailed for plotting to attack RAF Mentwith Hill in North Yorkshire.

Sentencing Farooq, Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb praised the actions of Nathan Newby, the patient who talked him out of exploding his homemade device.

The device would have been twice as powerful as those used by the 2013 Boston Marathon bombers.

The judge said: “He’s an extraordinary, ordinary man whose decency and kindness on 20 January 2023 prevented an atrocity in a maternity wing of a major British hospital.”

Yes, you read that correctly. This savage wanted to kill nurses and patients, including babies, in a maternity hospital. This is the level of depraved hate filled savagery that we are dealing with when it comes to radical Islam in the UK.

This is sadly not the first time that a radical Muslim has gone out with the intention of killing staff and patients at a maternity hospital. You may recall the case of Emad Al Swealmeen who in 2021 died when his bomb, which was intended to kill people at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, prematurely exploded in a taxi before he could get into the hospital and carry out his attack to the fullest. Thankfully Swealmeen’s bomb blast was mostly contained by the body of the car and the driver and others suffered minimal physical injuries in the incident.

In the case of this latest kinetically inclined Mohammed as with the Liverpool incident, it was only by chance or the intervention of someone with the savvy to understand what was happening that a mass casualty incident was prevented. But we can’t always rely on luck to stop attacks like these. Sometime and someday one of these self exploding Mohammeds will succeed and will kill hospital staff and patients, including new born babies, in the name of their bloodthirsty deity ‘Allah’. With at least 37,000 Islamic extremists currently believed to be being monitored by counter terror police and the Security Service it will only be a matter of time before more innocent people fall victim to savages like Mohammed Farooq or one of the thousands like him.
