I’ve been working like a demon to get the Passover cleaning done. My wife and I have been cleaning, sweeping and changing over the dishes etc ready for Passover which starts on Saturday night of the 12th April this year. It’s been incredibly hectic as there’s loads of other stuff going on in our lives at the moment and I’ve still got to properly cover the kitchen in tinfoil but I’ll probably do that very very soon.
We are looking forward to telling our child the story of the Exodus from Egypt thousands of years ago and eating lots of matzah which is truly ‘the bread of affliction’.
We’ve been lucky this year as Passover is during the Easter school holidays which means that unlike on some previous years we’ve not had to have the extra hassle of preparing Passover compliant lunch boxes for our son.
So if you celebrate Passover have a great and Kosher Pesach and may you be surrounded by loving family and friends. However whilst I implore readers who celebrate Passover to do so with gusto I would also ask you to think of and pray for those Jews and others who are still being held captive by the monsters of Hamas.
I’ll be back on Tuesday when the period of ‘thou shalt not work on festivals’ ends.
Chag Sameach Pesach
Have a great one
Happy Passover.
