The Book of Deuteronomy in 16:18-21:9 states that one of the primary aims of humanity in general and in particular the Jewish people is to work for justice. A great emphasis is put on the words ‘Justice Justice shall you pursue’ in the Torah and various commentaries concerning it because it is so important. But there’s a big difference between how the Torah talks of justice and how liberals, whether political or religious, talk about it. The liberal will often side with the person committing the breach of societal convention and sometimes, with maybe minor infractions, this is the correct way to act, justice should after all be on occasion tempered with mercy. But the Torah shows that there is another side of justice, one of deserved harshness.

Nowadays any of us who consider ourselves civilised will reject some of the harshness of Biblical Justice and accept that what might have been correct justice for an Iron Age Jewish community is not so applicable today. Today we might, for example, abhor adultery but we don’t stone adulterers to death any more, we’ve moved on. But some transgressions, some crimes deserve the sort of harsh punishments that in modern times might cause us to recoil in horror. What the ‘Palestinians’ did to Israelis and visitors to Israel not just during the 7/10 Pogrom but from way way before it, after they rejected the idea of living in peace with their Israeli neighbours and demonstrated that decision with invasions, terror attacks, lawfare and much much more, have made them deserving of the fate they are currently suffering. The ‘Palestinians’ I’m afraid really do deserve the sort of punishments found in the Book of Deuteronomy. These ‘Palestinians’ have not accidentally killed Israelis, something for which even Biblical law would not demand the ultimate penalty but have done so deliberately, with malice, with baseless hatred and with the sort of violence that civilised people associate with soul-less beasts and monsters.

The decimation of Gaza is the Justice that the ‘Palestinians’ deserve. They fucked around and found out. The decisions and choices of these ‘Palestinians’ over the course of decades has brought a just destruction down on their heads and on the heads of their people.

The ‘Palestinians’ could have chosen peace. They could have decided to live together in peace with Jews, Christians, Druze and Samaritans in the Judea and Samaria areas of Israel and could have turned, if they so chose, Gaza into a form of Singapore on the Med, a peaceful meeting and trading point for the Christian, Jewish and Islamic worlds. But they did not take such a decision. They could, to quote dialogue from the movie ‘On the Waterfront’, ‘have been a contender’ for being an example of peaceful coexistence with others, but they chose otherwise.

The destruction that is being wrought on Gaza and the other areas claimed by the ‘Palestinians’ is not the fault of the Israelis. The primary fault for the destruction that the ‘Palestinians’ live amongst in both Gaza and elsewhere lies with the ‘Palestinians’ and their political and religious leadership. I suspect that the average Israeli would be quite happy not to have to be the instrument of divine and cosmic justice which destroying the jihadist groups that infest ‘Palestinian’ society truly is, I bet they’d much rather be living in peace, a peace that the ‘Palestinians’ have consistently refused.

The Leftist idiots in the West, those whose minds have been addled by Marxism and who have been brainwashed by the honey-toned but poisonous words of pro-Hamas and pro-Jihad ‘Wormtongues’, cry out for ‘justice’ for the ‘Palestinians’ but fail to see that what the ‘Palestinians’ are currently getting is justice, proper justice for their transgressions against humanity. They and their leaders wantonly turned down every opportunity for peace, even when peace would clearly benefit them and refuse to shake off their culturally and religiously baked-in hatred of Jews and others, although mostly Jews.

The ‘Palestinians’ whether they be in Judea and Samaria or Gaza or Lebanon are living amongst rubble and living in fear and uncertainty because of their own decisions and the decisions of those who led them over the course of decades. It’s clear that by backing the ‘Palestinians’ many on the Left are backing the wrong horse, a horse as equally as wrong as the one they backed in Iran in the late 70’s when Iranian Leftists allied with the Mullahs against the Shah. Leftists in the West need to ask themselves at what point, which could be very soon, will the Jihadists that they’ve backed, including Hamas, turn on them when they are no longer useful to them? Pick wrongly and the Western leftists will be dead meat like the old Iranian Left.

For the decades upon decades of refusal to embrace peace, for the murders both individual and the mass murders that the ‘Palestinians’ have carried out, the bestial hatred that they hold in their hearts and impart unto their children does require honest and impartial justice, even though that justice is sadly but necessarily harsh. Just as abhorrent societies such as those of Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan required the almost total wrecking of their nations in order to even begin civilising them, so the ‘Palestinians’ will have to go through a similar process.

I wish it was otherwise. I wish that the ‘Palestinians’ would turn around and go ‘OK I’m going to water my sheep in peace with my Jewish neighbour on the banks of the Jordan’. But I’m also a realist and can’t seen any practical possibility of this happening without the ‘Palestinians’ being vanquished enough to start to become civilised. Hopefully the ‘Palestinians’ can be forced, as the Germans and the Japanese were, into embracing civilisation and peace through sadly necessary brute force and re-education. It’s either that or wait for the Moshiach (Messiah) to sort it out and personally I’d rather the problems posed by the violent, morally degenerate and peace avoiding ‘Palestinians’ were sorted out sooner than the possibly considerably later time when the Moshiach might arrive to do so.
